Is your church interested in starting a cross-cultural ministry, but isn't sure how to begin? You've come to the right place!

Here we share tips on how to reach out in friendship evangelism to a local ethnic group which doesn't yet have a church;

...activities to get your church involved and build bridges with your ethnic neighbors;

...how befriending international students can bless their lives and your life too;

...words to "All the Nations," a great mission song which your congregation will love to sing;

...how to use ESL classes as an outreach tool;

...where to find Bibles, videos and evangelical tracts in hundreds of languages!

...why your church may want to consider receiving a foreign missionary to work alongside your pastoral staff;

...different methods of building consensus in cross-cultural settings;

...practical ways to address important racial reconciliation issues;

...articles on overcoming our fears, working through cultural differences, celebrating diversity in the church, and developing eyes to see the opportunties for ministry all around us;

...the challenge of ministering to international seamen if you live in a port city;

...reach out to your neighbors with Christmas greetings in 75 languages;

...and how to connect with a national network of ethnic ministries through Mission America.

We also want to collect your stories about cross-cultural ministry.

If you have a ministry story, please email us at info@ethnicharvest.org

Multiculturalministries.org, a ministry of the Church of the Nazarene, offers excellent resources and ideas for cross-cultural ministry.

And here's one more great link to ministry ideas. Pentecost2000, a web site of the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod has a great cross-cultural ministry database where their churches and agencies share what they are doing, what resources have been helpful, and a contact person for more information. You can search this list of ministries by region or by ethnic group.
