People Group Info
Has your church "adopted" a specific people group? Are representatives of that group living in North America? We hope this information will help you begin developing friendships and sharing Christ right here at home!
A major focus of our ministry at Ethnic Harvest is to research sources for foreign language Bibles, gospel tracts, videos and books. Follow the links below to find resources for the following groups:
We also link to sources for online, audio and print Bibles in 250 languages.
Notes on Developing People-Group Lists
The Ethnologue, however, describes over 6,700 languages (and lists many more). For our purposes, a summarized list was in order.
We found a list compiled by the University of the State of New York for their State Department of Education, which we've used as the starting point for our master lists referenced above.
We have published a list of the top 50 languages spoken in the U.S., compiled from the 1990 U.S. Census.
